Ascent Trip Report12 of us attempted Lane peak via the Standard route. Started from the Narada falls parking lot at ~9:30AM. We had to put on snow shoes almost immediately because of all the fresh snow. It was uneventful climb to the saddle and we reached the base of summit by 1:00 PM. Everyone then put on their harnesses and and we climbed towards the obvious tree just below the ridgeline. With the sun heating up the south face there were some point releases on our way up but nothing to be very concerned about. We built a belay station near some obvious rocks just below the ridgeline to setup a handline to the summit. The solid tree from before was used as the first intermediate anchor and then 2 pickets to the summit. The tree was later used as a rappel anchor to get everyone down the steep south face. There was very little space on the actual summit so we had to folks had to handline up and down 2 at a time which took a while. We were finally done cleaning up by 7 and got back to the cars by 10.
