Ascent Trip Report This was a private hike with George Christiansen, Pat Vaughn, Bruce Craig and Mike Johnston. My main goal was Azusa for my 5X Lower Peak list. We drove up Glendora Mountain Road 5.1 miles to a gated road coming in from our left (west). There was ample parking on the right side. We hike down the road picking up Peakbagger bumps 2675 and 2596 on our way to Azusa. Both are right off the road. On 2675 we found a rock cairn with a wire sticking out of it but no BM or register.. On 2596 we found a BM with a survey paddle marker but no register. On Azusa was the cross with a US flag but no register. On the return, we stopped at Peak 2583. It is right off the road. On the topo it is listed as radio facility and is numbered. We decided to add this to Peakbagger.
After the Azusa hike, we followed George over to Puddingstone Lake where we did the short hike to Via Verde Hill.
