Ascent Trip ReportLong drive for short scramble. With Randi S, Mike R and Sharon C on this cloudy day with grauple for part of the way and on the summit. We couldn't park at the TH due to snow so scrambled down to the Paul Peak Trail about 1/8 mile from the TH. We followed pretty much the track provided by John Murphy. Basically no snow except some on parts of the trail and very thin layer on portions off trail. Log crossing of Meadow Creek was slippery on the way in, but not bad on the return. I used Microspikes on the descent, but the others didn't. Carried snowshoes and crampons but not used. No views, cloudy and colder than expected. Randi and I ate our lunch in the car while Mike and Sharon tagged Martin.
