Ascent of Mount Waumbek on 2017-04-02
|Date:||Sunday, April 2, 2017|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Location:||USA-New Hampshire|
| Elevation:||4006 ft / 1221 m|
Ascent Trip ReportParked on the other side of Route 2. Steady, moderate grade most of the way up Starr King followed by a nice, fast ridge walk across to Waumbek. Snowfall from the day before left Ice crystals on the downslope side of every branch and 5 or 6 inches of pristine powder on the ground - perfect snowshoeing on top of the previous crust. No views due to cloud cover, but the sun made a couple of cameos.
