Ascent Trip Report

***Sierra Club Outing***
led by Dave Comerzan, Ron Schrantz

13 of us went on this early spring hike into Chino Hills State Park. Cool morning fog quickly burned off, great views of the surroundings unfolded as it did. The temps climbed all morning and it was pretty humid, it was 83 F when we got back down to the cars. The area is very green and lush, with lots of wildflowers. On trail all the way for this loop hike, with stops along the way for Pk 1476, Pk 1685 (this bump is actually about 100 feet lower than its name suggests), San Juan Hill, and Gilman Peak. Lots of people out there with us today on foot and on bikes.

Mileage and gain for loop hike: 10 miles, 2,100' about 6 hours

13 of us on the hike including:
Dave Comerzan
Ron Schrantz
Pat Arredondo
Winnette Butler
Chris Spisak
Lilly Fukui
John Gustafson
