Ascent Trip ReportLoop hike to Gilman Prak, San Juan Hill, Anderson Hill and Peak 1476 from Rim Crest TH. No park fee required from here. Whole park was a gorgeous bright green with huge fields of wild ??. Acres and acres of bright yellow Mustard, huge patches of very bright Lupine, pink Fillerees, orange and gold Fiddle-neck, white Morning Glories, Blue Dick, yellow Daisies, Night Shade, pink and white Mariposa Lillies, and of course lots of little yellow and white unidentifiable flowers. One bright purple I will try to identify.
Trails are getting quite overgrown with grass, plants and Mustard - 6 feet high in some spots. XC will be a foxtail nightmare later in the year. Saw my first snake for the year, just a little Garter Snake making a beeline across the trail.
Very pleasant Sierra Club Lower Peaks Section hike led by Dave Comerzan and Ron Schrantz.
