Ascent Trip Report

drove up indian truck trail, which is narrow with drop-offs. passed two bicyclists, two motorcyclists. then turned right at main divide road, and drove up to the summit. main divide becomes more challenging than indian truck trail, with more rocks and steep grades. passed two pickup trucks going the other way, and one couple hiking uphill. at the top i bumped into more motorcyclists, trucks, bicyclists... i should have guessed saturday would be very popular on this mountain!

definitely a 4x4 hi-clearance route.

while i do feel like i cheated on santiago i did want some exercise: i hiked to modjeska rather than driving it.
