Ascent Trip Report

it seems that this peak was purchased as part of the nolan ranch purchase by SFPUC and the nature conservancy. as far as i know they haven't opened it yet, so i will just have to imagine what the hike might be like. one approach might be through the chupacabra infested territory to the north, along ranch roads.

based satellite views the summit area contains much brush, but there would also appear to be some fire breaks which could be useful for reaching the highest point. the eastern slopes of the peak are clearly grassy in satellite views, and a careful analysis of slope angles (caltopo is my favourite tool for this) it is easy to imagine some side-hilling and steep sections when approaching from the east.

you can imagine combining this peak with another unreachable: pyramid peak. in this imagined hike i've included pyramid peak as part of the statistics.
