Ascent Trip Report

Three people from meetup group bushwhacked up to col between davis and isolation. Long day. Took awhile to find davis path to summit. Trail was covered with five feet of unbroken snow and has spruce trees over it requiring us to squeeze thru a two foot passageway to continue to summit. It was 1:30 by the time we got this trail after crossing ridge and bushwhacking thru spruce forest looking for Davis Path.

Group of three of us started at 8:45 (group was delayed because of leaders water pipes freezing) and rest of group left at 9am and successfully summitted. We ended meeting them as we switched from snowshoes to microspikes shortly after we found the turnoff to the Engine Hill bushwhack.

As a result of this hike, I will have to try the Davis Path from the south and do the Engine Hill bushwhack.
