Ascent Trip ReportMissed this on the first time around as I had to get to the Yuma ER for stitches in my finger after slipping on black ice coming off Signal Peak.
Nice hike up canyon with use trail much of the way. We went up to the saddle of the peak with the north side pinnacle, then went straight up the exposed but solid face, class 3-4, directly from the saddle. It got easier after this first section. The way was clearly marked with ducks to the summit. Nice views. On the return, we discovered an easier chute that is just down from the saddle that was also marked with ducks. This was not mentioned in the Yuma III guide so we were oblivious on the way up, but we did find the route we took up more fun for an ascent! The chute we descended was safer, low class 3.
