Ascent Trip Report

what a tedious hike. hike up a drainage, bypassing several dry falls to the base of the steep scree slope which is the main peak. it's a 42% grade for a half mile. the only solid rock is of the very sharp variety, gloves are recommended. traction is good when it's available, but you're frequently on slippery scree.

views are truncated most of the hike due to being in the canyon. views from the summit are nice: Charleston stands out nicely snow covered at this time. flowers are starting to show, a few here and there.
