Ascent Trip ReportFrom the Mazama TH, which has a large parking lot at the ODOT maintenance yard, we followed the power lines (passing over the peak's key col) along the East Summit Trail, then continued following the lines when they abruptly turned south. As the power line access road crested we headed cross county directly to the summit. At times the terrain is a little steep for snowshoes, although still "doable." Summit views appear to be fairly open, although the falling snow socked us in.
