Ascent Trip Report

Took a 3 day vacation to Welches/Portland Oregon prior to our transplant to Japan.
Got to resort in early evening and forecast called for snow all day starting at night. I didnt have chains or snow tires so wanted to get an opportunity to get some quick views of Mount Hood at high elevation prior to the dump. Sarah and I drove the 30 minutes to the Timberline Lodge area and scouted it out on 15FEB.
Next day we drove up but heavy snow turned us around. Finally we had a nice drive up and explored around the lodge area. Sarah and I did a little mini expedition up the snow shoe trail which was nice. Great views on a beautiful day.
