Ascent Trip Report

My driving directions to Bassett Peak

00.0 Take I-10 Exit 340 and turn North, then bear left to become Fort Grant Road.
15.5 Road becomes "Brookerson Road".
18.5 Turn Left onto Ash Creek Road at a stop sign.
21.5 Continue straight off pavement onto Ash Creek Road.
36.2 Road curves right and becomes Sunset Loop.
Immediately turn left onto FSR 660.

0.0 Turn left onto FSR 660.
0.7 Cross a wash.
0.7 Turn right at Y (Road 659 is on the left).
0.8 Cross a rocky wash.
1.0 Pass through an open gate.
1.2 Pass a nice campsite on your left.
1.3 Pass another nice campsite on your left.
1.6 The road turns right and enters a rocky wash/creek.
There is parking for a couple of vehicles and a limited campsite here.
2.3 We drove this far and parked 2017-02-04.

The road continues and eventually becomes Ash Creek Trail.
