Ascent Trip ReportDrove up US 29 out of Danville. Passed the Woodwick Outlet Candle Store and Bojangles on the left. Tower Lane is also on the left, but you have to go a bit further north to find a crossover to make the u-turn. I drove up Tower Lane to the tower complex and walked around the fence surrounding the main tower and got back in my car. A state trooper pulled up and we exchanged pleasantries and I was on my way to the next high point in the White Oak range.
Definitely a drive up. Lots of towers. Views are limited. |
