Ascent of Tucki Mountain on 2017-01-27
|Date:||Friday, January 27, 2017|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||6726 ft / 2050 m|
Ascent Trip ReportStarted from Emigrant Campground because the road to DPS route starting points was closed. Found the first three miles tiresome with all the washes. Once we got on the ridge, things went very smoothly. We saw at least 6 desert bighorns. Thought I was the first to climb the west ridge until I read the summit book at the top. If I were to do this route again, I would maybe start off down the road around 1,500 ft, so I could follow the wash directly up. This would add some gain, but eliminate some ups and downs.
