Ascent Trip Report

Got up before daybreak and drove to Tiger pass. The parking area was ice. Put on microspikes and headlamps and headed up to the overlook and got a nice view of Rainier. Then we took East Tiger to the summit but did a little bushwhack to test the snow depth on the upper steep side and got a couple of good postholes about 2 feet deep. Mostly the snow was compact and icy.. Beautiful views on a snow capped day. The table at the top had over 2 feet of snow piled up on it. On the way down we headed up the other road to bag the small subpeak to the east. The temperature was 22F.
