Ascent Trip ReportBritton Hill - Highpoint #24
This Highpoint was completed while staying in Florida over the Christmas holiday with Kelli's family. We (pretty much the whole family) picked a day during the week to drive up to Lakewood from Panama City Beach. The six of us climbed into two cars and made the 90 minute drive to the top of Florida. It is not until the last 20-30 miles that the landscape begins to change and becomes rolling hills with lots of cattle farms. Lakewood park is right off of the road (HW 285)and only 1KM from the Alabama border. It was fun to have an audience so excited to see what our highpoint rituals were, but probably ended up disappointing as this was one of the most anti-climatic summits to reach.
