Ascent of Silver Bell Peak on 2016-12-30Others in Party: | Scott Peavy Matthias Stender
| Date: | Friday, December 30, 2016 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Silver Bell Peak | Location: | USA-Arizona | Elevation: | 4261 ft / 1298 m |
Ascent Trip ReportWe started hiking at elevation 2,320 feet. The net gain was about 1,940 feet, but there are losses that need to be regained both up and down.
Hike is logistically easy but a little tougher than it appears from afar. The talus slopes can be loose, and the rocky ridge takes time to pass, although there are no cliffs. There is scrambling, but nothing that is Class 3. |
