Ascent Trip Report

Looking for hike in peakbagger database on day off from skiing. Found this small hill on iphone peakbagger ap. Did not realize that is cleverly takes Greg's peakbagger database and adds in List of Johns database together so you sometime find things that way that are not yet in this site. So even though there is little prom. it was a nice hike up the hill in the snow but then I go to enter it and it did not exist so I took the data from the peakbagger ap and slid it over here to enter the hike. No views other than from the nice hairpin on the roadway. Tricky conditions, the wind and snow were stinging my face and if not for the microspikes I would have surely busted my tailbone again today as the roads and sidewalks up were slick. I already messed my back up a bit today on one good fall without the microspikes. Hard to tell exactly what was the natural HP of this hill as it is now all condo but stomped around in the snow and slid on home to the condo. Started hike in downtown Breck at the creek crossing Snow Hill Road. Then hiked back up to the condo above this USGS feature. One could park at the overlook and run up it but it would only be around 80 foot of ascent and that is not fun at all. For a local this hike would be totally uneventful. From FL enjoying a face full of snow and wind and getting some elevation in the state of CO....it was worthy of a quick hike and solid rating of quality 2 Ha!
