Ascent Trip ReportI've always wanted to climb this cinder cone on the east side of 395 near Fossil Falls. Finally did! Went from the west side after following a dirt road that immediately goes north from the Fossil Falls road from the 395. Made a counter clockwise loop by going up on the southern rim, then more straight up (scree and then some easy climbing on solid lava) and over to the top. Descended around the northern rim, which is much more traveled. Nice views!
