Ascent Trip ReportVia Depot Brook Road and bushwhack. I made this twice as hard as it might have been on an early winter day with 2-3 inches of snow. I parked near 232 on Depot Brook Rod (a Forest Service type Road) about .5 miles east of the trailhead for Silver Ledge. The Road runs west then turns to the south. Unfortunately, I headed off into the woods too sooand caught part of the ridge for Little Spruce Mountain. Thus I had to ascend this ledgy elevation and then descend on the other side before beginning the ascent to Spruce (this peak is better known as Pigeon Pond Peak). The other problem with this path of travel was the extent of spruce woods i had to battle through. On the return I got it right by heading southeast/south east through hardwoods and finally a series of logging roads (and a couple of camps) before reconnecting with Depot Brook Road.
