|Date:||Wednesday, October 19, 2016|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||3691 ft / 1125 m|
Ascent Trip ReportParked at the start of the signed track leading to the little chapel and hill fort of Mourre Negre; to visit them, take a path on the left after 1 km, passing a mossy stone igloo-like structure before reaching the chapel and rejoicing the main track. This leads to a shepherd's hut on the Jas Bremond, before following the undulating summit ridge to the Mourre Negre. A cairn marks the highest accessible point, south of the compound. Nearby is Peter Stone's stylite's perch, now without a seat at the top and suitable only for Vlad the Impaler's victims.
