Ascent Trip ReportWhile staying in Park City, we stopped by REI in SLC and asked for recommendations for a nice hike in the area. We were told Sunset Peak from the Alta Ski Area at the end of Little Cottonwood Canyon. It was an easy hike starting up road, then trail to the summit. There was snow on the ground for half of it. Towards the top there were a couple of places where we had to carefully watch our footing in the snow because of the drop off. Nice views from the top. It had snowed (for the first time this season?) two days earlier and the remains were evident across the miles.
