Ascent Trip Report

I was originally going to climb Tin and Dry in DVNP, but high winds put me off. East Ord had the "best" forecast with mild winds and only 20% chance of rain, so it was on. I was going up by a new route, the South East Ridge from the Grand View Mine. Clouds were gathering, but I was determined. Just at the summit, the rain started, and I had about two hours of pretty drenching rain to deal with, not to mention the lightning. The road out was a bit of an adventure with running water down it and one sketchy stream crossing. Still, it was a good route, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something out of the standard route. Oh, and most importantly, it was # 46 on my second list finish of the DPS list.
