Ascent Trip Report

Hiked the Lovers Lane Trail and Deer Lake Trail up to Bogachiel Peak, went across the High Basin area to Heart Lake where we took in some rest before circling back onto Solduc Trail.

We started at around 5 a.m. and finished the 19ish miles be night fall.

The Seven Lakes Basin, which is located after you reach Bogachiel Peak is spectacular. It's fairly flat along this basin, so you get to really enjoy the awesomeness of nature and the beauty of this national park.

I saw purple pine cones and the type of greenery I've never seen before. Plant life was spectacular and we were surprised to see snow in higher elevations.

This is the most breathtakingly beautiful hike I've ever done. Highly recommend splitting the hike in two days while camping near the 7 lakes region.
