Ascent Trip Report

Drove up Meadow canyon road. Parked at Barcelona summit walked up the old road til it ran out. Then crossed over Antone creek which still had trickles of
water flowing, even moss. Hiked up to the saddle and followed the ridge to the peak. Explored all the little nobs except the obviously lower one farther to the east and found no register in place. Got back to the truck and had a flat. A cut
from a rock in the side wall. So yes the road is navigable, but...changing a tire in @ 50 mile per hour gusts, not a highpoint. Did I mention it was cool and quite windy. Some Aspen still clinging to their blazing reddish leaves, no gold left. Most had dropped all leaves. Mountain sheep and elk droppings. 4 deer at the start of Antone Canyon.
