Ascent Trip Report

This was an enjoyable hike. I can't say as much for the drive. The road wasn't dangerous, just very long and tedious. We came in from the east (as I understand had most other parties, but I strongly suggest a future party come in from the west (Crutcher Canyon), as that road looked like it would have been better.

The hike could have been made a bit shorter with a car shuttle- the road we initially hiked up toward Granite Benchmark could likely have been driven to its top maybe 250' higher than we started, and we could have driven maybe only half a mile and 40' lower than we ended. The road has been forcibly blocked by a disabled tractor chained to a locked gate(?!)
