Ascent of Boreal Ridge on 2016-09-24
|Date:||Saturday, September 24, 2016|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||7701 ft / 2347 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWe parked at the Boreal parking lot, expecting solitude but finding that there was a big bouldering event going on that afternoon so there were lots of people. We snuck past a signed rope and started walking up the access road towards Boreal Ridge. Easy route finding to get to the summit, where we found the ski operations unlocked, keys in the ignition. We discussed possibly starting it up and taking a ride back down but more as a joke, since we probably would have also been given a ride in handcuffs by the local sheriff had we tried that. From Boreal we found a bike trail that went steeply up and around the higher PK 7751, meeting up with the road at the top. From there we just walked the road back down to near the parking area and around the signed rope, nobody seemed to care.
