|Date:||Saturday, September 17, 2016|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Location:||USA-New Hampshire|
| Elevation:||3383 ft / 1031 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI went up the Coot Trail early in the morning, and spent about a half hour in the summit area. I enjoyed the view first from the tower, and then followed the path to a series of ledges at the top of the cliffs on the east side. Remarkable views looking east with dozens of Maine peaks visible off in the distance. Once back in the summit area, I quickly hiked out-and-back on the spring spur path, and then departed from the summit, branching off onto the Bobcat Trail for the descent. I did an off-trail side trip, going out-and-back along the ridge to West Magalloway.
