Ascent Trip Report

liners suck.

i bagged the summit first, and then went north and down the ridge, glissading when i could. i think i could have turned east earlier and extended the glissade... i ended up going down amidst various rocks and sandy sections requiring a lot of care. the cairn and register are visible from a distance, and helped focus my descent.

the ascent was much more enjoyable than the descent: i was able to find solid rock to climb through most sections (class 3). i ended up going off trail on the way back to the trailhead... the trail itself was kind of boring, and i enjoyed the soft, needle covered ground off the trail.
