Ascent Trip ReportPatty, Ava, Mark, Sue, Stef, Jeff, Mike and I started out at Conrad Meadows Saturday morning, kind of a weird scene there? We hiked up to Warm Lake and camped one night. Sunday we scampered up the slope above the Lake to gain the Klickton Divide and Gilbert's SE ridge. There is mostly and trail to the top besides a little route finding along the ridge and some scrambling near the summit. The Klickton Divide is a very beautiful ridge run, save this one for good weather! Back to camp to tear down we had a nice note from the Ranger letting us know to camp further from the Lake shore, even though we were in a designated/impacted spot... We hiked back down to the cars and drove around (in the pouring rain) to Packwood for some very shitty pizza, and no cell service? Stef and Jeff took off so the rest of us drove up to the Berry Patch TH and car bivied. On Monday we hiked up to Old Snowy as a day trip. Bumped into some thru hikers, tagged the highest point on the Washington section of the PCT, and saw tons of people camping up around the trail, very busy place, but quite beautiful.
