Ascent Trip Report

Most straightforward way to reach this is probably the climber's trail that heads west from Alum Cave Trail just as it crests the main ridge and bends sharply right. The trail is rough and overgrown in spots, occasionally hard to follow, and involves a few tricky steps, but goes all the way to the summit. The crux is less than a tenth of a mile from the top, where one must surmount a wet, slick, 10' class 3 cliff; judicious use of bushes for handholds can be helpful. The top is a small open meadow with good views to the south and west. Expect 45 minutes roundtrip from the main trail.
