Ascent Trip Report6.40am taxi to Yug (Salt) bus station s-e Sofia
7am bus to Samakov
8-9 stood around Samakov bus station
9am bus 8km to Borovets (1350m)
9.30 cable car not working so started walking from Borovets
10am got a handy lift in a unimog from four Bulgarians working at Musala hut.
11am arrived Musala hut (2350m)
12.15 summit
12.30 set off down, jogging half the way
2.30pm back at Borovets (5200 feet in two hours?)
hitched back to Samokov with Dad and caught bus back to Sofia, back at hotel 5pm. |
