Ascent Trip Report

Beautiful day in the Rubies so I decided to climb Greys Peak. From the parking lot at Angel Lake, I followed a foot path along the east side of the lake and up a rocky gully. The brush, mostly snow bush, increased but I gained the ridge and bypassed a sizable snow field to reach the summit. Saw 12 sheep, ewes and lambs, no rams, along the way.

Found a summit cairn and register with many peakbagger notables listed. The views were amazing, especially the south east ridge line that includes Hole in the Mountain and Humboldt Peak.
