Ascent Trip Report

Drove to the top. Unfortunately it was a last minute decision as we were heading home from our unsuccessful attempt of the Sisters Marathon, and I didn't write down odometer reading but you just have to follow the roads which inst too hard.

There are clearly multiple ways to access this peak but these will be directions for the way we took. I am writing this TR weeks after our ascent and I wont be able to give information such as exit numbers but these directions can be put into Google Maps for assistance.

Take the exit off the 97 for SW Iris Lane (It may just be marked for Iris Lane and it may have also been for Round Butte Dam).

Take Iris Lane to the T intersection and turn right onto SW Feather Drive.

Fairly soon after, take a left onto SW Fisch Lane. Soon after that, follow Fisch and it will turn to the right and become SW Frazier Rd

Soon thereafter, turn left onto SW Peck Rd.

Almost immediately (.5?) turn right onto SW Mountain View Drive

Follow SW Mtn. View Dr. for about 5 miles or so

After about 5 miles, the paved road continues to the left - stay straight on the unmarked dirt road (any vehicle accessible) to the summit. Great views of the Reservoir.

Took NW Pelton Dam Rd. for about 20 miles or to the highway. Saves miles but has a slower speed limit. Probably debatable if this way or back tracking is better. This way features a cool and scenic drive featuring the dam and reservoir however!
