Ascent of Willow Creek Mountain on 2016-07-26

|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||Willow Creek Mountain|
| Elevation:||7829 ft / 2386 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI approached from Highway 97 using Frederick Johnson's directions. The roads are in great condition making the approach very easy, no need for clearance or 4WD. I parked at a switchback due south of the summit and ascended directly up. It's a bit of a bushwhack but not bad. My descent track is superior to the ascent because by taking a path slightly to the east I avoided going through brush thickets. Neither the register nor the benchmark is at the highpoint. They are obviously lower than the top of a rock outcrop in the middle of the summit plateau.
