Ascent Trip ReportThe famed Decalibron, Democrat looks the best from the TH, which was packed with all sorts of mostly 4wd vehicles, although unbelievably a couple a civics and priuses were seen too. I would not go to the TH in a 2wd but that's just me I guess. The hike was grand! Democrat was a zoo, but enthusiastic hikers out for a workout or working on the 14er list made for a fun environment. Many only did Democrat, but lots continued on to Cameron, Lincoln, and Bross. Cameron is nothing more than a minor bump on the way to Lincoln which looks great from far away but is merely okay one you get to it. Bross is a nice way to end the day, mostly gentle ridge walking until the final couple hundred feet. The descent from Bross is steep and loose scree, although on trail, it is a bit tough on the knees. Highly enjoyable outing, very scenic.
