Ascent Trip Report

Parked on Bliss Rd at the turn off on the left where the cement blocks are... was deterred from parking on the wind farm access road by the No Trespassing sign, didn't want to make it too obvious that there was someone up there. This was a cool experience because the summit was in a cloud... I could hear the wind turbines before I could see them. No Trespassing signs increase in both frequency and aggressive tone as you make your way toward tower #17 (end of the road) but I didn't see anyone or have any trouble today. In my opinion there are two possible high points, the one with the cairn on it on the rock outcropping behind tower #13 (the obvious one and the one in the picture on the main page), but there's another spot in a flatter section of woods to the east of the road between towers #16 and #17 which seems like it could be it. I'm guessing the natural high point was destroyed to make way for tower #13, but since neither current high point was particularly inaccessible, I visited both. I'm not sure if there would be many views from either high point even on a clear day but there is what I suspect is a nice one at the bend in the road near tower #12... and just being up there surrounded by the turbines is pretty awesome as far as I'm concerned.
