Ascent Trip ReportTons of people at the pond today, looks like a huge party spot. The Red trail gives pretty good access (within ~400-500 feet) of the 3 potential high points to the southeast of the pond. The bushwhack through here isn't terrible, a few thorns easily avoided for the most part by climbing around on the rock fins. The two areas northeast of the pond, similar idea, the trail gets fairly close and the bushwhack is somewhat challenging but not too terrible. As other logs have indicated, the area further due north of the pond is by far the most difficult to access... some serious bushwhacking involved, took me a solid hour and fifteen minutes to get in there and back. Lots of prickers, legs ended up scratched to hell. This area is also probably the least visually rewarding of the six as well. On the way down I must have encountered at least 20 different groups all headed up to the pond. Trail smelled like my college apartment (weed and cheap beer). If I was gonna do this again I wouldn't pick a holiday weekend... had no idea this spot was so popular.
