Ascent Trip ReportParked at Finzel Swamp (aka Cranberry Swamp) and used the only trail there. The trail through the swamp was over grown and full of typical swamp creatures. The trail wrapped around a small pond and at the far end I took an ATV trail up hill towards Sampson Rock. I started my Bushwhack towards the summit once I determined that I was as close as I was going to get on the ATV trail. I eventually popped out on a dirt road and followed that to its highest point south of the summit where I entered the dense brush. I chose the most difficult path to the summit which included rock climbing, bolder hopping and a dense bushwhack. FYI, there is power line clear cut that leads to the ridge from the dirt road west of the summit, this provides fairly easy access.
