Ascent Trip ReportEasy and surprisingly scenic. The Bledsoes are great, friendly people; hopefully highpointers and peakbaggers will continue to stay on their good side by calling ahead for permission. They seem very relaxed about hikers on their land. Parked at the ranch house (dogs were loud and lightly nippy as a warning but not dangerous) and walked up the ranch road. Views to the south opened up nicely. I did a quick walk to the survey marker at the triple point of Cheyenne, Kit Carson and Lincoln Counties, and also walked over to Overland Benchmark itself for a really prime view of the plains to the south.
When approaching from the northwest (Denver) it may make more sense to take County Road 2J/BB off 287 around mile marker 416 instead of going all the way to CR2 in Aroya, but it's hard to be sure.
I'll return to the ranch in a couple years to do Kit Carson's high point; didn't bother today since I'm going alphabetically!
