Ascent Trip Report

I didn't want to park at the gate of the E-150 road and hike from there, so instead found a road leading to a large water reservoir tank south of the peak and parked at the tank. The summit was just under 2 crow miles from there, and the 4Runner gained some of the elevation for me. I do not subscribe to my late friend Edward Earl's namesake behavior called Earlizing, where one starts hiking at a lower elevation than necessary for the purpose of gaining at least 1,000 feet on the ascent. Even so, the net gain on this hike was just over 1,000 feet.
