Ascent Trip ReportAttempted Whitehorse over night with my brother Josh. We took the bus out to Darrington, rode bikes to the old trailhead for the Neiderprum Trail and after hitting snow plowed through waist deep powder to Lone tree Pass. We made great time but the snow had exhausted my energy and we were worried about how loose and deep it would be higher on the mountain. We tried to give Whitehorse ridge a try as a consolation prize but couldn't figure out the route in the dark so we turned back at about 1am making it to the bus stop by 5am. The owner of the gas station was kind enough to let us in to stay warm until the bus arrived. |
