Ascent Trip Report

This trail is no longer maintained (officially marked "closed"). We were told be a local municipal worker that it hasn't been maintained for about 10 years and isn't expected to be going forward.
At first it isn't too bad, with a small amount of downed brush that has been cut through, but the biggest challenge proved to be the mud-holes up high. At one point we found ourselves in mud/clay nearly up to our knees.

There were four Puerto-Ricans camped out on the summit, but apart from them we didn't see anyone.

Expect an adventure and you should be alright if you're used to off-trail travel/bushwhacking.
