Ascent Trip ReportWhat a great peak! The north ridge has alot of character. We found our own route up to the right of the sharpest spire in the redrock viewed from the road. This involved some nontechnical canyoneering, stemming and avoidance of pools. From there we joined the typical north ridge route. So nice with the redrock ridge changing to granite scrambling and then a nice juniper section with easier footing until a very short talus section. The views are the best of all the Henries I have been on so far. If you have time I would highly suggest a traverse to the peak to the east (we didnt have time, but that is where the very best views will be and it looked like an easy ridge run there. The register is stuck shut. Maybe bring a wrench to get it open it is one of those steel tubes 1.5 inch diameter. Rusted threads I think. We bombed down this steep route and back to SLC. What a great little trip with upper and lower Maidenwater canyon and Pennell the previous days.
