This one required a tad bit of walking but well worth it.
My son had done quite a bit of map analyzation on this one before leaving Oregon, and was a bit apprehensive on what we would find. Jobe and I were able to easily get our rented truck to spot ele. 3293T and after hitting the first several contours on foot were met by a fortified cow fence that ran along the southern edge of Section 36. As it decended downslope we found a weakness that was easily surmounted before proceeding downslope below the bluff as to stay out of sight since a ranch was seen to the NE as we weren't sure how they felt about hikers.
But soon thereafter the northern most contour was reached and what a surprise to find a cement monument crowned with a BM. This northern most contour is the highest as the entire plod towards it had it hovering higher than any of the others.
As far as Eastern Monana goes and its CoHPs, this one reigns as a must do.
