Ascent Trip ReportSuccessfully climbed to the top of Champagne Couloir. However, t ridgeurned back about 40 vertical feet from summit due to high wind gusts, fog, and an apparent large cornice on the summit. Great ski down the couloir. Snow was firm, but edged well. Couloir was protected from the wind. Despite the summit denial, an awesome ascent and even better ski descent. |
