Ascent Trip Report

This was a pretty boring, quick climb. Followed 'Saratoga Plan' markers, I believe this is the most direct route up but was very rocky as apposed to the many jeep roads sprawling across the mountain. Somewhat blood pumping toward the middle. Stopped and talked briefly to another hiker pursuing the firetower challenge, which is always neat. The tower itself is missing the bottom steps and did not pursue to climb. Some illegal but friendly ATVers arrived (from another trail) at the summit as i came up. Bugs were tolerable with no repellent. The views were not impressive but again the tower was out; I think if the tower was climbable it would have made the climb much better. Alot of water in ruts at the top, i can see this being a bug haven in a few more weeks.
