Ascent Trip ReportAnother training hike and bagging of a Sierra Nevada peak that's actually in Nevada...my new "personal list"... working my way up from the low end.
I was able to drive up so far, that the hike was only 0.59 miles and 228 ft. of climbing. That wasn't a good enough a workout, so I went down below where the car was parked to the old V&T Railroad grade, then even lower - almost to the Silver Oak Golf Course to get well below 5000 ft. Then climbed back up to the car. 3.34 miles and a 700 ft total climb. That's a little better! |
